Fans of Latin music, dance and gastronomy flocked to the magnificent Anfa Park to immerse themselves in the captivating atmosphere of the second edition of “Casa Anfa Latina”.
And here we go for an even more frenzied second edition of Casa Anfa Latina! Friday evening, thousands flocked to the magnificent Anfa Park for the opening of this great celebration of Latin culture. On the program for this edition, dance classes from the “Kukumpa”, “La Clave” and “Salsa Blanca” schools, entertainment from DJ Temazo, CasaHeros batucada and Brazilian samba shows.
Twice as many festival-goers as during the first edition
Capitalizing on the success of the first edition, this second edition of “Casa Anfa Latina” attracted twice as many festival-goers. “We are very happy since there are twice as many people as last year. “We expanded the site to accommodate more people because we were sure there would be more. In terms of programming, we initially wanted to do two days, but we ultimately decided to organize the festival over three days. This year we have three leading international artists, namely Los Van Van for Saturday evening, Gente de Zona, whose songs have enjoyed great international success, and merengue singer Elvis Crespo. It’s therefore an upgrade to the programming on the big stage and then we add lots of entertainment in the village”he added.
Gente de Zona: the Cuban duo won over the audience during the first evening of the festival
For the first evening of the festival, the duo Alexander Delgado Hernández and Randy Malcom Martínez amazed the crowd with their exceptional fusion of reggaeton and traditional Cuban music, in a grandiose musical atmosphere. These two artists thus transmitted to the public a great joy of singing in a musical style characterized by lively rhythms. “Bailando” and “La Maccarena” made the audience dance and sing. Thanks to their formidable talent, Anfa Park was transformed into a real dance floor, where each spectator let themselves be carried away by the magic of the evening.
Winner of 7 Latin Grammys and 12 Latin Billboards, Gente de Zona is the first to reach the HOT Latin Songs of the Billboard. Alexander Delgado Hernández and Randy Malcom Martínez achieved worldwide success thanks to their collaboration with Enrique Iglesias on the title “Bailando”, in 2014. In 2015, they recorded with Pitbull “Piensas (Dile la Verdad)”, which placed at the top of the Latin charts in the United States. Their title, “La Gozadera”, a duet with Marc Anthony, has almost 90 million views on YouTube and thus marks the history of Latin music.
