“Fold of the soul”this is the name of theexposition which brings together the talents of Brno and Odette Lün until November 26, 2024 on the cabaret walls The Bearded Mermaid from Dieppe (Seine-Maritime).

What these two Dieppe artists have in common – apart from the umlaut in the name – they like to explore varied techniques and are a jack of all trades.

Brünn is a visual artist. She creates in her studio on Avenue Vauban, which she happily opens to the public.

His works are characterized by a back and forth between very large format drawings and sculptures in bronze, modeled concrete, sandstone, porcelain…

She also explores engraving techniques when she is not at the Louvre or 8 studying contemporary art. His latest works express the empathy between animals and humans.

Odette Lün is for her part a multidisciplinary artist. When we don’t discover her on the stage of The Bearded Mermaidshe likes to express herself on video, through bodily expression or even drawing.

These different mediums allow him to touch on a visceral poetry between the fragility of humans and animal strength.

A back and forth between two artists

Their common exhibition has a particularity. It is not a question of each artist presenting their works alongside those of the other.

The “Folding of the soul” approach was imagined around drawings made in a back and forth between the two artists.

One drew, revealing a few clues, the other continued according to what it suggested to her. “We could think of an exquisite romantic corpse linking our two universes,” underline the two artists.

Exhibition until November 26, 2024 at the La Sirène à barbet cabaret, Place Nationale in Dieppe. Opening Thursday November 14 at 7:30 p.m.
