  • The anime Dragon Ball Daima and the video game Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero were released on October 11, 2024.

  • A launch which comes 40 years after the publication of the first chapter of the original work.

  • The rights holders relaunched the Dragon Ball machinery around ten years ago and seem determined to profit from it for a long time to come.

For its fortieth anniversary, Dragon Ball is getting a new lease of life. The franchise makes a resounding return, with the release on October 11 of the video game Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero and the animated series Dragon Ball Daima. The latter is currently broadcast at the rate of one episode per week and is accessible on Crunchy Roll and Netflix.

The series launch took place simultaneously in Japan and internationally, a first for the Toei Animation studio. The storyline and characters were designed by Akira Toriyama himself. An anime now orphaned, since the author died in March 2024 at the age of 68.
