200 internet personalities are calling for action: history is watching us!

Sunday June 9, 2024, the far right came first in the European elections. The same evening, the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron announced the dissolution of the National Assembly. For the first time under the Fifth Republic, the far right was able to obtain an absolute majority in the National Assembly and gain power.

We, creators, Internet personalities, are calling for mobilization. History is watching us and we have until Sunday June 30, the first round of the legislative elections, to encourage our communities to vote. We want to stand together. We can, collectively, prevent the rise to power of the far right. Another future is possible.

The far right was not, is not, and never will be the solution. The National Front was co-founded by the Waffen-SS in 1972 before becoming the National Rally. The party has not changed despite its name change. His current links, locally and nationally, with the worst far-right groups have been widely documented.

For years, the RN and its allies have designated the same targets: women, LGBTI+ people, racialized people, people of Jewish or Muslim faith, or perceived as such. His program, structured around the racist theory of the great replacement, is an illustration of this. Targeting minorities means targeting a part of us and the people who watch us, follow us and listen to us. It is also the first step before attacking the rights of all.

The time is no longer for neutrality. We must vote massively and get people to vote. A single bulletin will allow us to defeat the far right, a single bulletin will allow us to respond to the ecological emergency, a single bulletin will allow us to safeguard public services, a single bulletin will allow us to improve the daily lives of workers. , a single bulletin will allow us to conquer new rights: that of the New Popular Front.
Mobilizing on the internet can sometimes make you afraid of losing an audience or sponsors, making many content creators hesitant to speak out. Today a clarification is necessary: ​​the only sponsors and the only subscribers that we can lose are those who tolerate extreme right-wing power. Our audience is like us: diverse, from all social classes, often LGBTI+, racialized, with disabilities. The scope of our collective speech obliges us. The time for silence is over. Creators, creators, Internet personalities: let’s mobilize!

Next June 30 and July 7: together, let’s vote against the extreme right and for the New Popular Front.
