We know that 007’s real name is James Bond. But what is the surname of M, the director of MI6 played by Judi Dench in the film? To find out, you’ll need to look in the right place, and at the right time.
This place and this moment are at exactly 2 hours, 16 minutes and 14 seconds, that is to say in the epilogue of the feature film. In this sequence which occurs just after M’s death, Moneypenny entrusts Bond with a box containing the figurine that his former superior wanted to leave to him. By carefully observing the bottom side of the case, we can see that it bears a label indicating its sender and recipient.
