Gérard Jugnot, in full promotion of his film We should have gone to Greeceevokes the disappearance of his comrade Michel Blanc and the signs of affection of the public.

“I was extremely touched by these expressions of emotion,” says Gérard Jugnot on RTL this Monday, November 11. A little over a month after the sudden disappearance of Michel Blanc, his comrade from Splendid is still receiving expressions of sympathy from the public in the street.

“It’s ‘condolences’ all the time, even though it wasn’t my family, but it was (Editor’s note: the Splendid) a real family,” adds the actor, who is currently promoting the film We should have gone to Greece.

Very moved by the disappearance of Michel Blanc, at the age of 72, after an allergic reaction, the troupe paid a humorous tribute to their friend on October 11, published on the Instagram account of Marilou Berry, the daughter by Josiane Balasko.

“Michel would have hated this place… there are far too many trees”, we could read in the caption of a photo showing Christian Clavier, Josiane Balasko, Gérard Jugnot, Bruno Moynot and Thierry Lhermitte at Père Lachaise, around a wreath of flowers bearing this word: ‘your colleagues of the Frenchwoman of intensity’.

Michel Blanc had time to find his accomplices from Splendid for a final project. A book planned for the end of November where the members of the troupe all comment together on photos from their career. Rare photos, from their personal collections, according to the publisher Le Cherche Midi.

“There is a book that is going to come out, it’s very important, it’s the last thing he participated in,” explained Gérard Jugnot on the Télématin show on November 8. “It was Thierry (Lhermitte, Editor’s note) who organized this for the benefit of medical research, ironically…”
