Nothing stops The Boys

Since its launch in July 2019 on Amazon Prime Videoseries The Boys developed by Eric Kripke enjoys growing success, with no less than 8 million viewers in the first ten days following its release, and more than favorable reviews, whether by the press or by the public. On Rotten Tomatoesthe first season was able to convince no less than 85% reviews, and the second and third seasons achieved ratings of 97% And 98% respectively, surpassing popular series like fallout And House of the Dragon.

While only the first three episodes have been released so far, the fourth season of The Boys already reached the 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, a score which is likely to fluctuate over the coming weeks as the next five episodes join the SVOD platform. The popularity of The Boys is such that a fifth and final season was ordered even before the fourth was broadcast, and Eric Kripke has more than one trick up its sleeve to promote the current season…

The superhero of the year on newsstands now

In recent months, the series The Boys stood out not only thanks to the trailers for the fourth season, but also through its marketing strategy in general. On Twitter (or X), the series comes to life through the account Vought Internationalwhich comments on the events that occurred during the third season in the manner of a press account entirely biased in favor of Homelander. But the rise in power of the character played by Anthony Starr is far from stopping there, since it goes so far as to transcend the fourth wall to join the written press:

To be clear, this is a REAL issue of TIME that you can buy on newsstands! It’s completely crazy. We have the best marketing team in the industry. (#TheBoys is streaming on @PrimeVideo!!) @TheBoysTV

As you can see above, Homelander is on the cover of the magazine TIMEwhich qualifies it as Superhero of the year. A title that will not please boys, but which could make fans of the series and this character in particular smile. And like Eric Kripke points out, it is entirely possible to purchase a physical version of this issue to support Homelander (no) or the series in general. A stroke of genius from the marketing team The Boyswho would do well to continue this momentum for the next season and the spin-off(s)!
