The CCHA heritage service opens its summer season and offers you two events. First, a musical visit to the Château de Lordat on the occasion of the summer solstice, Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The talented singer of the Mirabilia company, Laetitia Marcangeli will perform on the fiddle and chants, works from her wide repertoire ranging from religious songs to secular songs, melodies and medieval texts, as well as troubadour and juggler tunes. . For a total immersion in the medieval world, the concert will be punctuated by a guided tour of the castle. You will learn the whole history of this fortress which served as a refuge for the last Cathars in the region. The magic of the place and the perfect acoustics will help make this evening unforgettable.
Then, a ethnobotanical walk in Auzat on Sunday (meeting at 9:30 a.m. in front of the heritage house in Auzat). Accompanied by botanist and ethnobotanist Patrick Canal, you will leave discovering wild plants or plants escaped from gardens, which grow in and around the village of Auzat. During this easy 2.5 hour walk, the botanist will explain their medicinal, culinary and artisanal properties and their importance in local culture. The walk will be preceded by a conference “The Companion Plant” which will enlighten you on the fascinating relationships that have linked humans to wild plants for centuries. This day will also be an opportunity to reflect on the issues of biodiversity conservation and the development of natural resources.
