The Décibel Feuilles association organized its first festival in Pluzunet, this Saturday, June 15. The funds raised by the event, which featured Marcel and his orchestra as headliners, will make it possible to replant trees in Trégor.

The Décibel Feuilles festival got Pluzunet moving this June 15! “We only have good feedback from festival-goerssmiles Nicolas Petibon. Financially, we welcomed a little fewer people than we estimated, but it was a superb first edition!”

For the first edition, 1,500 people traveled between Lannion and Guingamp to take part in this event which smells of chlorophyll: it is supported by an association which has been raising awareness among young and old for years about replanting trees, as did this winter the schoolchildren of the town on this embankment.

When we see everything that is happening on the planet today, it is important to make people aware that replanting trees is something important for future generations.” confides Nicolas Petibon.

This is why the association was born, to show that we can please people and act on the biodiversity around us.

organizer of the Décibel leaves festival

To defend an ecology at human level, based on common sense and support, Nicolas Petitbon had dreamed of organizing a festival for a long time. Even before the doors opened, the emotion was already there among the volunteers. “Ecology must also rhyme with festivitiesestimates Elsa, one of them. When we see this, we can only rally to the cause of trees.

Headlining this first festival, the Marcel group and its orchestra were seduced by the organizers’ approach. “It’s a citizen initiative, it’s independent, it’s an association. All this, when you add it up, I think it makes senseconsiders Franck Vandecasteele, the singer of the Boulogne group. There are more and more takeover bids for festivals from multinationals who want to win everything. So, we must support the pockets of resistance,” he smiled.

The festival has already estimated its carbon impact and intends to largely offset it in the months to come. “There we have 4.4 hectares that we plan to plant at the end of 2024 and the beginning of 2025, underlines Nicolas Petitbon. Et’s a first drop. Two plantations will come later.”

This attractive project, planting trees to bring people together and celebrate, is already on the way to attracting several neighboring communities.
