This Tuesday, November 5, the city of Lyon unveiled the entire program for the next edition of the Festival of Lights, which will celebrate its 25th anniversary from December 5 to 8. In total, 32 works will be offered throughout Lyon, mainly in the city center, Blandan Park (7th arrondissement) and Tête d’Or Park (6th arrondissement). The arrival of Yaël Braun-Pivet at the University of Lyon 3 disrupted
Traveling in the Rhône this Friday, November 8, Yaël Braun-Pivet had an appointment at the University of Lyon 3 to attend a conference of the Poli’Gones association. Alongside his visit, anti-Semitic tags were found on the walls of the faculty and clashes broke out during a pro-Palestinian demonstration. The interruption of the Lyon-Paris TGV line
A hassle for many travelers. This long weekend was notably marked by the interruption of the high-speed train line between Lyon and Paris. The latter has been closed since this Friday until November 12 due to work. Result: travel times doubled, with a journey completed in 4.5 hours instead of the usual 2 hours.

TCLs soon to be free for under 10s
From September 1, 2025, children under 10 will be able to use Lyon public transport (TCL) for free. A measure aimed at “facilitate the daily lives of families by reducing their transport expenses, while making travel simpler and more accessible“, declared the president of Sytral and the Métropole de Lyon, Bruno Bernard.
