A first which calls for a second in Mayenne. All weekend, it was the Laval Tattoo Show, first edition at La Fabrique in Bonchamp-lès-Laval. Forty tattoo artists including five foreigners presented their tattoos. A successful first, the organizers are considering a second edition next year.
“We know that a successful salon is when tattoo artists ultimately tattoo. Yesterday, they were ‘booked’! They tattooed all the time, even those who came without an appointment. So there we are, we are really happy. I hope it will continue. I wanted to show the people of Laval that in fact, they really are like that with their tattoos. These are not filters or anything, not things reworked in Photoshop. They are real artists, they are people who work, who have a work culture. They are illustrators above all. There is this passion for drawing, for perfecting, for applying color to the skin, for the technicality of the tattoo itself” explains Panda Man, one of the organizers of the event and member of the Crève clothing brand.
For two days, tattoo fanatics came to have their bodies drawn. Some even crossed France to come to Mayenne.
