Popular, cultural and responsible. These three terms summarize as much as they define the Music Festival in Saint-Girons. The ingredients, a recipe renewed every year, which make it successful and one of the most renowned in Ariège. And this year, June 21 is a good time, it will take place on a Friday, the day before the weekend.
Eco-responsible and inclusive
The evening promises to be long but beautiful. An eclectic and popular festival, for all ages and all audiences, whose success has not been denied for more than 10 years thanks to the action of the many volunteers who succeed one another within the FDM association, music festival . Then a party that aims to be eco-responsible and inclusive, to remain accessible to all. So, let’s not shy away from our pleasure this year: 300 musicians in 21 locations for June 21. The hyper center becomes a vast place where music reigns supreme. Obviously most of the places will be lively and groups and musicians will follow one another throughout the evening. The Tribunal park and rue Pujol on the Pont Vieux side will also be part of the celebration. In addition to these squares where everyone can wander as they wish, most of the city’s restaurant bars are mobilized. In the evening and even from midday for some, musical entertainment will be offered. As for the programming, as usual it is more eclectic.
It is impossible here to list all the musical offerings, but like this national event, all styles of music such as rock, rap, jazz, classical music or world music will be highlighted during numerous concerts free on the street. Amateur and experienced musicians will have their place in Saint-Girons, which has become a vast open stage.
Always notable for the Saint-Gironnaise Music Festival, street arts will also be there. Around fifteen troupes and companies will stroll through the streets of the city from 5 p.m. This year again, the flavor market will offer these local products to tastes from here or elsewhere.
