During trips on the press bus, which allows journalists to follow the slightest actions of the candidates in the presidential election, Sadie will befriend three competitors: Grace (Carla Gugino, seen in The Haunting of Hill House ), experienced journalist who works in an old school way, Kimberlyn (Christina Elmore, seen in Insecure), journalist for a conservative news channel, and Lola (Natasha Behnam, seen in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), influencer and activist of the generation Z who becomes a reporter on his networks.

Despite their differences, these women become a true family and have a front-row seat to the biggest soap opera of their professional lives – the battle for the White House – while finding friendship, love and scandal along the way. .

“These are four women who come from different backgrounds, different ideologies, different political points of view, different generations”explains Carla Gugino (Grace), “And because they’re immersed together in this bus journey in very tight spaces, with very high stakes, they actually find a way to put themselves in each other’s shoes and see what might be be the other person’s point of view”*.

The power of sisterhood

Despite their different backgrounds and their diametrically opposed lifestyles, the four “girls on the bus” will rally for a just cause, which shapes their exciting profession, as Natasha Benham explains:

“They fight for what they believe in. They are all very strong-willed and they pay attention to things. What helps them come together is the search for truth, even if they do it in different ways. They want the best possible world and they want to transmit information to people.”*
