Fifth evening The Perfect Experience at Le Poivrier

The fifth The Perfect Experience (TPE) evening, the last of the 2024 edition, was held on October 12 at the Le Poivrier restaurant, in Tamarin. Designed by Oxenham, the concept aims to offer gourmets an unprecedented culinary experience by combining dishes with wines and spirits.
The TPE evenings are sponsored by Phénicie, from the Panagora group and Afrasia Bank. In addition to Le Poivrier, the 2024 edition received the collaboration of the Bella Amigo and Rêve d’R restaurants as well as that of the Château de Labourdonnais table and the 20degrés Sud hotel establishment.
At Le Poivrier, guests were welcomed by Olivier Pagliuca, the manager of the three Le Poivrier restaurants in Mauritius, in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. As an aperitif, they were able to taste, with the unmissable Trio Vivace by Kovishen cocktail, succulent Teriyaki chicken skewers or even a shrimp tempura, among other delights.

Cod aioli and a medley of garden vegetables

At the meal, the starter consisted of a Cod aioli and a medley of small vegetables from the garden, with a South African white wine Delheim sur Lie, 2022. The main course was a lamb shank with gnocchi made in Tomme à la truffle, accompanied by a Châteauneuf du Pape, Domaine Barville, Brotte, 2021. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly a magnificent wedding cake, drizzled with crème de menthe and which had the effect of a fire. ‘artifice.

The evening unfolded to the rhythm of beautiful musical entertainment, provided by singers Nicolas and Mirella, accompanied by saxophonist Yoni and guitarist Eric. In the second part of the evening, Chrystabelle revisited some French pop standards before giving way to the DJ.
