A series by Alfonso Cuaron, the director of Gravity (2013) et Roma (2018), with Cate Blanchett, Kevin Kline and Sacha Baron Cohen, all under the umbrella of the well-endowed Apple ? Already on paper, Disclaimer had something to entice.

Its intrigue, too. Catherine Ravenscroft, a renowned journalist and documentarian played by Cate Blanchett, receives a novel at her home from an anonymous author. Titled The Perfect Strangerit is accompanied by a note on the cover page (the famous disclaimer): “Any resemblance to persons living or dead is not coincidental.” And how. The story told there is not fiction, it is her life, at least a buried episode which suddenly comes back to haunt her.
