This is what we call a fine example of solidarity in the horse racing microcosm. Indeed, while he was returning from Chantilly where he was to present Garlic (6 years old) in the last race of the program Thursday in Chantilly (cancelled due to extreme weather conditions) trainer James Grassick, based in Dragey (50), was the victim of a road accident, fortunately without harm, neither for the staff nor for the horse. Forced to be immobilized in the region (towards Groslay) in the middle of traffic, the engineer absolutely had to bring the horse whose trailer was broken to safety. Fortunately, around 8 p.m., Mathieu and Nicolas Guarnieri, the sons of Maurizio Guarnieri (Italian trainer based in Chantilly) came to the aid of James Grassick to take Garlic in Chantilly (60), put him in a box in their stable and feed him with straw. James Grassick wanted to sincerely and warmly thank the “Guarnieri” who showed exceptional solidarity and great help.
