This Sunday, the bar Le Victor-Hugo brought together the weirdos for a meeting that has become a must-see at the Nîmes feria.
The event has become a staple of the feria. On Sunday at noon, Le Victor-Hugo brings together its faithful for its Apéro des barjots, created by the owner of the place Nicolas Delprat, around fifteen years ago, taking inspiration from JC’s barjots’ ball at Nitro, “slightly crazy evenings, in excess”.
From 2 p.m., the crowd invades the boulevard, to dance to the joyful soundtrack of DJ Totoff, where danceable rock, electro tracks and kitsch variety mix, in a decor that adds color to the traditional bull of the bar. “It’s a party in madness mode, Totoff is capable of going in all directions. His structure is that everything is unstructured!”laughs Nicolas Delprat, delighted to mix generations, drinks, music, confetti, mascots and dancers on the bar in the same moment.
Among the mascots, Léa buries her young life in a Mario disguise. The Nîmese frequents the Victor outside the feria and offered to dress up to party a month before her wedding. Around her, Luigi, Garfield, a Mignon and four dancers in sexy and sweet costumes move.
In the crowd, we also meet Sam. He has known Nicolas Delprat since college. Every year, his group of friends meet there. “We are all between 45 and 55 years old. This year, there will be 32 of us. Even if we are graying, here, we have the impression of being 20 years old”he laughs.
At the Victor, the party continues this Monday from noon with an electro closing. On the program, fluorescent decor and around ten DJs on the decks…
