Build a career in musiqueyou dream of it. But where to start? Because practice and talent are not always enough, the Roubais association ARA (Around current rhythms) has been carrying out the Double Dièse project since 2019 in order to support emerging artists wishing to expand on their projects. This year again, three profiles will be able to benefit from support from the ARA thanks to this system.
The conditions to be met
The project, which extends over a year, is financed with funds from the association. In particular, it offers the winners the possibility of having access to its equipment, its team of professionals, training or even studio sessions. To apply, there is no age limit. Minors, however, must obtain authorization from their parents. Candidates are asked to be “an amateur artist or group with a repertoire of original works”. All styles are accepted! Finally, you must reside in the Lille region (Lille, Roubaix, Tourcoing and surrounding areas). For groups, it’s a little more flexible: if half of your team is local, it’s all good!
Applications are open until October 20. The lucky ones will have to join the ARA (€10) and sign a support agreement. Since its creation in 1993 in Roubaix (North), the ARA has worked to develop current music practices around three fundamental values: equal opportunities, collective spirit and respect for cultures.
