The Charleroi public prosecutor’s office, contacted in the morning, gave more details on the circumstances of the tragedy. “The cyclist, who was traveling in the other direction of traffic, would have found himself on the same lane as the driver. He would have anticipated a turn a little too quickly. The driver would not have seen him,” explained Sandrine Vairon, press magistrate at the Carolo prosecutor’s office according to the testimony of a witness who witnessed the scene.
