“Here it all begins” Summary of the episode of October 18, 2024
Jude is the first head of the Lab
Enzo informs a small part of the students that one of them will have the chance to become the first chef of the Labo restaurant, starting next week. By chance it is Jude who is chosen, but that does not suit him at all, because he already has to manage Double A. Jude announces to the students that he does not have a menu. Quentin, Mehdi and Emi are worried and help him find a concept. He first thinks about creating a menu that mixes dishes from the north and the south, but his comrades are skeptical.
Later, Jude asks Enzo to taste the recipe he prepared: a Camargue carbonnade. The latter confides to him:
“It’s not great! Your concept has nothing to do with you. It’s not Master level.” Jude begins to panic, then informs his comrades that he has always felt invisible in the kitchen and would like this time to stand out in the eyes of customers. Finally, he found an idea: working with cabbage in all its forms, sweet, savory and gourmet.
Antoine ready to propose to Penelope?
Penelope informs Jasmine and Jim that she knows who denounced them to Antoine: Delobel. They take the opportunity to apologize for thinking it was her. Penelope replies: “You have given me a good reputation, everyone looks at me askance.”
A few minutes later, Pénélope, Jasmine, Malik and Léonard play beach volleyball in the pond at the Institut Auguste Armand. This is a new challenge launched by the OZ application. Suddenly, they panic, because Antoine is about to arrive. They rush to take a photo to immortalize their challenge, then they immediately get out of the water. Antoine arrives and discovers a balloon in the pond.
Penelope finds Antoine, and he notices that her hair is soaked. He gets angry when he realizes that his girlfriend took on a “stupid” challenge on OZ: “We’re going to have to talk, give me an explanation.” Penelope explains to Antoine the rules for applying challenges, and he tells her:
“You’re behaving like a child, it’s unbearable”. Annoyed, Penelope reminds him that he is her boyfriend, and not her father. Tension rises between the two. Penelope throws her jacket in his face, and an engagement ring falls out of the pocket. Was Antoine about to propose to her?
Laetitia leaves the Auguste Armand Institute
In the early morning, Lionel discovers that Laetitia is no longer going to Paris and that she has reconciled with Stanislas. He wants to dot the I’s with the classroom teacher:
“Why are you keeping him away from this job, it’s the chance of his life. If you love her, you have to let her go.”
Billie is also surprised to learn that Laetitia is staying at the Auguste Armand Institute. She takes the opportunity to ask him to replace her at Double A this afternoon, because she has an interview in Montpellier to do extras. Laetitia accepts the young woman’s request. A few minutes later, Laetitia exercises in the gym. She notices the presence of Chief White and decides to tell her in person that she is refusing his job offer. Stanislas advises her to wait a little, but Laetitia is determined.
The chef explains to him that she already knows, since Lionel and Billie informed her of the situation. She tries to convince Laetitia not to refuse her offer. Will she change her mind? Just after, Laetitia thanks Lionel and Billie for their support, and she adds that she is afraid of leaving Stanislas. Billie tells him that it was Stanislas who called Chief White.
A few minutes later, Laetitia informs Stanislas that she is lost and does not know what decision to make: “I’m not made to be away from you.” He replies: “You deserve better than this life, to take flight and shine.” Finally, Laetitia makes her choice: she decides to go to Paris.
Everyone has a surprise in store for Laetitia in the Double A room. Clotilde is also there for her farewell party and confides to Laetitia that her departure saddens her: “Have a good trip, I wish you the best.” Hortense arrives in turn and hugs her friend. Then, Laetitia thanks Alice for telling her the truth about Stanislas. Finally, Lionel in turn thanks Laetitia for everything she has done for him and his sisters. Kelly’s mother gives a moving speech. To finish, Antoine gives him a parting gift: a mug on which it is written “Best butler in the world”.
The time has come to leave the Auguste Armand Institute. Laetitia kisses Stanislas before he leaves and says to him: “I’m going to miss you so much.” Then he responds: “You are a ray of sunshine, they will need you more in Paris than here.” Laetitia gets into the taxi and thanks Stanislas for loving her the way he did. When he has barely started, the vehicle stops, and Laetitia runs towards Stanislas to kiss him one last time…
