“I became self-employed following my tours with my store truck from 2014 to 2016, twice a week: Wednesday and Saturday mornings. An opportunity then presented itself: the town hall of Saint-Julien (Côtes-d’Armor) entrusted me with the business as an artisan-butcher, a profession which no longer existed in the town,” explain Bertrand and Christine Gaillard.

We found our place with a loyal clientele. We worked with local products, prioritizing quality. We prepare all our catering dishes on site.

Passing the torch

NOW put the whips in the cupboardwe turn off the stove and put away the knives! Bertrand and Christine give up after ten years of good and loyal service.

“We thank our kind customers, our friends, our family and the entire team: Chloé, Arnold, Céline and Jimmy, for having accompanied us during these ten years,” exclaims Bertrand.

With Christine, his wife who assisted him, they left with a pang in the heart and a lot of emotions.

Since October 8, 2024, the butcher’s shop has changed hands and name.

La Boucherie OP reopens with new owners. The young couple arrives from Saint-Jean de Brévelay (Morbihan), where Coryse worked as a butcher for twelve years in different establishments. She has experience and a proven track record.

Thomas, her husband, retrained after twelve years at Michelin, originally having management training.

“For my part, coming from Guingamp, it’s a return to basics! We were looking for a butcher shop in the area for our first business on our own. This one was a favorite. »
