All buyers fell for this opal glass pendant light. “It’s a killer, it’s in perfect condition“, exclaimed Caroline Margeridon, one of the key figures of this program. As a result, at the time of the auction, buyers fought to acquire the object. The chandelier very quickly exceeded his estimate. In the end, only Laurent Fernandez and Belgian Georges Van Cauwenbergh were still in the running. The battle was fierce between the two specialists. “I’m not going to let it happen“, exclaimed Laurent Fernandez, while his colleague did not want to give up either.
A sale price three times higher than the estimate
Ultimately, it was Laurent Fernandez who had the last word by proposing 1120 euros. “I leave. Really, it’s a very nice offer. 1100 was really my maximum“, declared Georges Van Cauwenbergh. “It’s a very very nice sale“, underlined all the buyers.
