Since its creation, Eliora Association has worked for the well-being of abandoned and orphaned children in Congo-Brazzaville. As an extension of its actions, it saw fit not to limit itself solely to humanitarian actions. The association now highlights African culture by organizing events like this exhibition on African culture and art. Through this meeting, she hopes to raise public awareness of both the richness of African culture and the challenges faced by vulnerable children in Congo.

« The exhibition on African culture and art is a cultural and solidarity celebration which will allow all participants to discover little-known facets of Africa while supporting a noble cause. Whether you are passionate about art, curious to discover new cultures or committed to international solidarity, this event is for you. See you on October 12, 2024 at the Salle Rossini for a day rich in discoveries, emotions and sharing “, declared the organizers via a press release.

The exhibition on African culture and art plans a diverse program. Indeed, in addition to the exhibition of works of art, cultural and artistic performances are also planned through musical shows and traditional dance; conferences and debates on various subjects such as contemporary African art, the place of traditions in the modern world, social and political issues in Africa; creative workshops for children where they can learn about African artistic techniques while learning the history and values of these practices.

In addition to this, the event will set up an African craft market where handmade products such as jewelry, clothing, decorative objects, etc. will be offered. In addition, African cuisine will be in the spotlight with a selection of traditional dishes that will delight visitors’ taste buds for a real taste journey through the different regions of the continent.

During this event, the link between art and solidarity will be made through the auction of exceptional works by African artists. This sale will raise funds for the Eliora orphanage in Congo-Brazzaville. The works offered for sale were created by renowned African artists, each bringing their unique vision of the continent through varied mediums. For seasoned collectors or simply art lovers, this sale is a great opportunity to acquire unique pieces.

As Eliora Association points out, the funds raised during this sale aim to directly contribute to improving the living conditions of children in difficulty. According to Eliora association, it is possible to support this initiative by making a donation to the association online.
