The time for final goodbyes has arrived. Family, friends and fans of Michel Blanc gathered this Thursday, October 10 at the Saint-Eustache church, in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, for the actor’s funeral. It was united that the Splendid troupe faced this sad reunion and paid a final tribute to the memorable interpreter of Jean-Claude Dusse.
It was surrounded by Bruno Moynot (who played the role of Gilbert Seldman in “Les Bronzés sont du ski”) and her husband George Aguilar that Josiane Balasko arrived in front of the religious building. For their part, each in turn, Christian Clavier and Thierry Lhermitte pushed through the crowd of fans to reach the interior of the church. They were thus able to find Gérard Jugnot and his son Arthur, but also Ramatoulaye Diop, the last companion of Michel Blanc.

Marie-Anne Chazel appeared alongside Marilou Berry upon her arrival in Saint-Eustache. The 73-year-old actress, however, announced in advance that she will not be able to go to the Père-Lachaise cemetery, where Michel Blanc’s coffin will then be taken.

In addition to the Splendid troupe, many personalities made the trip: Karin Viard, Dany Boon, Clotilde Courau, Patrice Leconte, Mathilda May, Isabelle Mergault…
It was still in shock from the sudden disappearance of their friend Michel Blanc that the members of the Splendid troupe met again on Thursday. The actor died on October 3, at the age of 72, following anaphylactic shock. Despite the sadness, Ramatoulaye Diop asked those close to the actor to pay him a tribute in his image, that is to say joyful.
