Dave Morissette was the special guest on the host’s talk show Marc Labrèche, I come to youwhere he discussed various topics, including his hockey career and all the sacrifices his parents made so that he could break into the industry.
He who, when younger, dreamed of playing with Montreal Canadiens had a father who told him he would do anything to make this wish come true. The latter also worked very hard, as Dave mentions, to pay for the significant expenses related to sport. His mother, for her part, drove him to all his practices and matches.
Dave also made a very surprising confession by revealing that he believes that his parents’ separation is his fault.
“I still think today that my parents separated because they put all their money on me,” says Dave.
“Oh, wait a minute,” replies Marcvisibly surprised by the words of Morissette.
“Well yes, because you have no life. All the energies were on the little guy who dreams of playing in the National Leaguehockey tournaments, hockey camps Midget AAApensions,” he adds.
Dave also confided that he later learned that his parents had borrowed money so that he could play hockey and he finds it visibly sad that this reality still persists today for some parents who still have to do so.
Family sacrifices certainly made out of love for their son and for the sport that his parents do not regret, as the former hockey player mentions.
