The 25th edition of the Cèdre Universel Short Film Festival Azrou/Ifrane will be organized from November 7 to 10 at the initiative of the Ciné-club Enfance et Jeunesse association.
Some 20 short films representing around fifteen countries will be in the running to compete for the “Golden Cedar” during this festival, under the theme “A new voice for a new youth” and which will offer a rich program with outdoor activities. air, music shows for the benefit of young people and students from schools in the towns of Azrou and Ifrane, as well as an evening in tribute to the stars of Moroccan cinema and elsewhere.
Open meetings with young creators, round tables around the themes “Problems of production and the profession of the producer in question” and “young creators, a challenge for the future of cinema” are also planned. The festival also includes the organization of the late Noureddine Sail Competitions (Cèdre d’or) for universal short films (documentaries and fiction), a screenwriting competition, a master class with cinema stars, the publication of new works cinema, training workshops from script writing to production with professional framers, exhibitions of cinematographic antiques (cameras, cameras, projectors and discs, etc.) and outings to visit filming locations.
