Even 15 years later, players still hold Rocksteady’s Batman Arkham in very high regard. After the disappointing Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, it could well be that the English studio decides to go back to basics.
Arkham Year One
In 2009, Batman Arkham Asylum takes the world of video games by surprise by becoming not only an undeniable commercial success but establishing itself as one of the best games adapted from comics in history. Between 2009 and 2015, the saga Batman Arkham will have 6 games, including the 3 major opuses forming the trilogy directed by Rocksteady. Despite the apparent conclusion of the series in Batman Arkham Knight, gamers will keep asking for Rocksteady to return with a superhero gameand if there were rumors about a game Supermanthen a new Batman Arkham in which players would embody a Damian Wayne evolving a futuristic version of the same universe, the British studio’s plans turned out to be very different.
Indeed, it was during the year 2020 that Rocksteady revealed to the world Suicide Squad : Kill the Justiceits first game in 5 years (except for a VR spin-off).
