The 51-year-old singer and musician was on Michel Drucker’s set this Sunday, October 6, just like
Marie-Anne Chazel, who did not mention her friend Michel Blanc for a particular reason. Thomas Dutronc was invited to promote his new album, entitled It’s never too late.
Host Michel Drucker did not miss the opportunity, and spoke to Thomas Dutronc about his recently deceased mother, Françoise Hardy. The one who moved from France 2 to France 3 has in fact declared having “laughed a lot”
with his mother, who had “lots of humor” et “not one’s tongue in one’s pocket”.
Thomas Dutronc, tired of questions about his mother, Françoise Hardy
The host then slipped in a little word, so that his guest would in turn speak on this subject:
“She would have been happy with your album…”, he told her, waiting for her to return. The artist then replied:
“Unfortunately, she couldn’t listen to it,” replied Thomas Dutronc. “I admit that I miss his presence a lot, for many things,” he added, his voice trembling.
The singer subsequently explained to his host : “I don’t want to talk about it too much, I’ve done so many interviews…”. However, he declared that he missed Françoise Hardy even more at the moment, during the promotion of his new album because she was closely following his entire career: “She was really the mother hen. She was average with my father who didn’t follow at all!” he delivered.
The singer has already delivered a lot
The singer has already had the opportunity to answer a number of questions about his mother, and this was particularly the case with Gala in their issue released on newsstands on September 26. He explained the themes covered in his new album, calling himself “grand sentimental”,
like her: “Life led me to sing deeper things. Turning fifty probably liberated me. I wanted to create emotions, a thrill,” he had delivered.
He also explained :
“These are moments from my early childhood that come back to me. Mom loved me more than anything. She told me so,” he confided. “I miss her look.” he had delivered.
