Tronget. Delbo Impro with Jazz dans le bocage. As part of the Jazz dans le bocage festival, students of 4 e from Charlotte-Delbo College have been working since March with their music education teachers, Marie-Alix Gouyou-Beauchamp, and French teachers, Muriel Gamba, on a project to discover musical improvisation, which they named “Delbo Impro”. Carmen Lefrançois and Camille Maussion, saxophonists of the Mamie Jotax duo and good teachers, took part in a cycle of workshops (around ten hours over six sessions), to work on soundpainting, an overall orchestral practice around gestural codes which allow you to express yourself.

A first restitution of work accomplished took place in the school courtyard last Friday, then the next day, Saturday May 4, the students were invited to perform in front of the public in the Salle des Riats to close the concert by the duo Mamie Jotax. The two artists said they had a lot of fun working with these students whom they congratulated, saluting the college for its involvement in the festival.

On Monday, the same students were expected at the “Yuna’s Odyssey” cartoon concert, a musical and visual journey combining musical and cartoon improvisation.
