Since the end of the screenwriters’ strike in Hollywood, several film productions have resumed and some will take place in the metropolis this summer.

The shooting of the American film Maydaywith Ryan Reynolds headlining, is currently taking place in the metropolis until June.
For the purposes of the film, Sainte-Catherine Street was transformed to resemble San Diego, California. The images show the changes made to the street: palm trees have been installed, fake businesses have appeared and we can also notice the presence of several retro-style cars.
Ryan Reynolds was spotted on set, filming a scene where he appears to be playing a US naval officer. Remember that a few scenes have already been filmed at the Manoir D’Youville in Châteauguay earlier this year.
Reynolds will share the screen with, among others, the British actor Kenneth Branagh.
