Loïc is better known by his artist name Mondé. Or even more, by all lovers of urban art. This Toulouse graffiti artist is at the initiative of the Layup exhibitions which since 2021, in the same vein as Mister Freeze, have been highlighting street art Toulouse. The artist gives us his good addresses in the Pink City.

#1. A neighborhood in Toulouse

Courthouse! Because I lived there and I really like the main rue Saint-Michel next door where you can find everything. Then there is the Carmes district next door, which I also really like.

Around the courthouse, there are also the Jules Guesde aisles. (©David Saint-Sernin / - Toulouse)

#2. A restaurant in Toulouse

So, my favorite restaurant is Sans Nom, rue Peyrolières. It’s small, there are only 25 years covered. They change the menus every week, it’s run by someone with talent!

#3. A stroll in Toulouse

I like walking around Les Carmes. Often it will be around the market on Sunday. It’s a lively neighborhood that I really like, there are lots of restaurants, it speaks to me well.

Starting point for a Sunday stroll? The Carmelite market. (©-.fr/LF)

#4. A cultural place in Toulouse

In Toulouse ? I can’t say Layup, that sounds egocentric. But I would have said it if I hadn’t created it. In a city as big as Toulouse, this kind of exhibition was lacking and I like its ephemeral side. We have lots of talented artists here and in Occitanie.

In Toulouse, the Garage and the Lay up collective welcome the Parisian collective 9e concept until July 2.

#5. A bar in Toulouse

Le Mushu, towards Jean-Jaurès! I like the atmosphere, it’s relaxed. There is music too, a little electro style. It’s nice.

#6. An idea for his city

Have the TGV between Paris and Toulouse, to attract even more Parisian collectors and be part of the artistic network! And then also, I would also like us to have more imposing buildings, a bit like the Cité du vin in Bordeaux. In Toulouse, we stick too much to the red briquette.
