Paris: pastry chef Pierre Hermé opens his first “Infiniment chocolat” boutique

Attention cocoa lovers! Pierre Hermé has finally taken the plunge. Thirteen years after creating his first candies, this macaron king opened a boutique exclusively dedicated to chocolate on April 26, at 25, boulevard des Capucines (IIe), a stone’s throw from the Opéra Garnier.

A new stone in the world of best pastry chef in the world (World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2016 academy) which already has no less than twenty pastries and four cafes in Paris; and a new step in the flawless journey for this heir of four generations of Alsatian bakers and pastry chefs, who was awarded the insignia of officer of the Legion of Honor by Emmanuel Macron last Tuesday.

The little setting on Boulevard des Capucines (2nd arrondissement) was designed by the Jouin Manku studio

Each visitor is greeted by a chocolate nasturtium flower, available in several flavors – a touch in the form of a nod to the address of the boutique – before being invited to discover the house’s collections as well. as the ephemeral creations cleverly displayed in the windows of the central counter and on the wall shelves of the new setting designed by the Parisian studio Jouin Manku. Copper-colored hammered metal ceiling, slate slabs on the floor, light oak panels on the walls… the materials interact with the chocolates.

64 euros for a box of 500 g of candies of your choice

Since the opening, chocolate lovers and passing tourists have flocked to the new boutique of the macaron king. We fell for the very original algae marshmallow flower (nori and yuzu seaweed ganache) and the PH Cubes, these little bites that explode in the mouth like a shot available in several versions including gianduja olive oil and black olives.

Others will also be able to appreciate the unmissable Mogador macaron chocolate (passion fruit and almond paste) or even the powerful Pâneiras (pure origin dark chocolate ganache from Brazil). For this, it costs 64 euros for a 500 g box filled with the candies of your choice.

In addition to sweets, there is also a wide choice of tablets, chocolate bars and orangettes on site.

The store also offers a wide range of products such as a wide variety of bars (from 10 euros), spreads, surprising pebbles or macaron chocolate bars for a nomadic tasting (7 euros), preparations for hot chocolate, marshmallows (€3.50), or even orangettes and even gingerttes (18 euros).
