EUROVISION – Natasha St-Pier will soon be back on television. It will not be on TF1 with the show Danse avec les Stars, but for the Eurovision final, which will be broadcast on May 11 by France 2 from 9 p.m. and presented by Laurence Boccolini and Stéphane Bern. The singer was in fact chosen as spokesperson for the French jury which must award 12 points, the France Télévision group announced this Saturday, May 4.
The Canadian singer has a special connection with Eurovision. In 2001, in Copenhagen, Denmark, she represented France with her title I only have my soul, as you can see in the video below. She then rose to fourth place in the final ranking. However, she had never held this role of tricolor spokesperson, which fell last year to the singer Angun.

“France Télévisions offered it to me less than a month ago”
“I think Eurovision is great, I arrived in France with that”, remembers the singer in an interview with Parisian, just after winning the Dancing with the Stars trophy, not without controversy. “I will be on air in front of a photo of the Eiffel Tower and I will say how many points we have awarded. It’s a great honor, I didn’t even hesitate when France Télévisions offered it to me less than a month ago “, she also confided.
This announcement comes the day before the start of the 2024 edition of Eurovision, which opens this Sunday, May 5 in Malmö, in the south of Sweden. The name of the singer representing France has already been previously revealed: it is Slimane, with his song his song My love.
At the time of writing, the representative of France is sixth in the list of favorites established by the Eurovisionworld site. He is automatically qualified for the final due to France’s financial contribution to the competition, just as is the case for candidates from Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom and even the Spain.
However, the singer should make a first appearance on stage during the second semi-final, which will be broadcast this Thursday, May 9 at 9 p.m. on Culturebox. And for those who are keen on the competition, the first semi-final will be broadcast this Tuesday, May 7, also on Culturebox.
