From Thursday to Sunday, the Cité Ardente will live to the rhythm of its Jazz in Liège, a festival which has now established itself in the local cultural landscape, through determination and tempting posters. And this year again, the desire to go beyond the usual clichés about the genre (and they have a hard time!) are at the heart of the approach of the Jazz à Liège team.
Thus, if the Tracodero will host training that we would describe as more “classic” (Aka Moon, Henri Texierbut also Shabaka Hutchings who will come to present his new album Perceive its Beauty, Acknowledge its Grace), the Reflektor will focus on artists with a well-established transversality, such as the brilliant American drummer Makaya McCraven or the English pianist Kamaal Williams. And we also forgot to say that the Forum will welcome two real headliners of current jazz: Snarky Puppy And Go Go Penguin.
