What are the consequences of video games on children?
For ethical reasons, no research has been carried out on children under ten years old. Studies have revealed that after playing a violent video game for around fifteen minutes, there is an increase in thoughts and minor aggressive behaviors. To arrive at this conclusion, they compared several groups of players. Some were playing a violent game, others Just Dance, still others a competitive game like Fifa. Then, players were asked to play a non-video game in pairs in which they could punish the person in front of them for an incorrect answer. Those who had played a violent or competitive game were slightly more likely to punish other players, at least for the first half hour.
