Feeling of lack when you live far from your country of origin, from your loved ones, homesickness is characterized by different symptoms ranging from anxiety, sleep or appetite problems, including a feeling of loneliness or insecurity. Some of these symptoms (which are not linked to the degree of geographical distance) can also be similar to depression and feelings during times of mourning.
How to deal with this discomfort? How can you help a person who is homesick to get out of this melancholy state?
