Juventus Turin insists on the recruitment of Ronald Araujo, and is even preparing a new offer.
Juventus Turin is not giving up the idea of recruiting Ronald Araujo (25 years old). After a first offer of 35 million euros rejected by FC Barcelona, the Italian club plans to submit a new proposal of 50 million euros, according to the media Relief.
Despite this increase, the negotiations promise to be complex. Barca, who initially reportedly set a price of €70 million for their defender under contract until 2026, could look to get more. The Catalan press, however, believes that a compromise could be found between the two parties.
A change of plans?
However, the situation was complicated by the injury of Iñigo Martínez, who suffered a torn hamstring during the Spanish Super Cup final. Absent for at least a month, his unavailability could lead Barça to delay, or even block the transfer of Araujo, considered a defensive pillar of the club.
For Juve, the next offer will have to convince quickly, otherwise this opportunity will disappear if the Blaugranas decide to secure their squad against injuries. The next few weeks will be decisive for the future of the Uruguayan international.
