Currently, more than 6,500 people benefit from this system implemented by the South Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region of Renaud Muselier. The “Youth Health Pass” is aimed at adolescents and adults between 15 and 26 years old. Since the start of the 2023 school year, it has been completely dematerialized.
What does it consist of? You will find twelve coupons on your phone giving access to a range of services from professionals. The pass contains a “voucher” for a first medical consultation for a maximum amount of 42 euros. It gives the right to a visit to a general practitioner or a specialist (gynecologists, pediatricians, midwives and dermatologists-venerologists) practicing in the Southern region.
Consultation with a psychologist, biological analyses, contraception…
The user can benefit from biological analyses, for 30 euros maximum, in a regional laboratory, upon presentation of a prescription. People needing or wishing to be followed by a psychologist also have the possibility of using this system for 90 euros. It can be used several times.
Contraception is part of the services. You can buy condoms or period protection for up to 30 euros in pharmacies in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. In these same pharmacies, beneficiaries can request pills, patches or rings, at the rate of a coupon of 30 euros per quarter. There are four of them in the past. Let us add that for intrauterine devices, implants or spermicidal gel, you can spend up to 130 euros.
Finally, vaccination against human papillomavirus is the subject of a system encompassing both the purchase of the vaccine and its application. All for a voucher of 49.85 euros, usable three times, for a total of 149.55 euros.
Under certain conditions
Now, how can we benefit from this regional mechanism?
You must therefore be between 15 and 26 years old, but also be registered in a high school, an apprentice training center (CFA), health and social training establishments, higher education, a local mission or at Pôle Emploi.
If this is not your case, you can apply for it by providing proof of a professional training course, a professionalization contract, an Employment of the Future contract, or even civic service in the South. East.
Do you meet these criteria? So, you can request it exclusively on the Region’s website. To do this, create your account, then follow the instructions with supporting documents for your status.
The use is also quite simple. You must select your healthcare professional, and, at the end of the consultation, scan the QR code, enter the expense before validating the transaction. The operation is automatically recorded in your account and that of the doctor. Please note that if the amount invoiced is greater than that of the coupon, the difference will be your responsibility.
