The main chalet of the Saint-Bruno ski resort and the Avril supermarket in Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville were indicated as places of exposure to measles on Saturday January 4.
Exhibition hours are between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for Ski Saint-Bruno and between 1:45 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. for the supermarket. “People who were in the following locations during the dates and times indicated are considered contacts of a confirmed case of measles,” it is indicated on the Quebec government website.
Citizens who have frequented these places are invited to monitor their symptoms until January 25.
Four new cases of measles were confirmed in the province by the Quebec Ministry of Health on Saturday. Quebec is facing its second measles outbreak in 2024. This began in December 2024 and is still ongoing. The first outbreak of the year occurred in early 2024 with 51 cases and ended on June 5, 2024.
“For each case of measles declared in Quebec, a public health investigation is carried out to determine the origin of the infection and to identify people at risk of having been exposed to the measles virus,” indicates the site .
At the time of writing, 25 exhibition locations have been identified across Quebec.
