Care needs? Follow the right path and adopt the right actions during winter

During this winter period, emergency services in our region, as throughout , are under great pressure. To ensure optimal care for everyone, the ARS reminds you of the right reflexes when you need care, as well as the main actions to adopt against winter viruses. Good reflexes in case of need for care

  1. As a first step, contact your treating doctor (or his replacement): he is your preferred contact for any health questions.
  2. Use the places of care whose list is available at the following address https://www.grand-
est.ars.sante.fr/urgences-les-differentes-solutions-selon-votre-nesoin-de-soins: if you cannot consult your GP, walk-in care locations are available. These structures can receive you during the week, on weekends during the day and in the evening.
  3. Call 15 before going to the emergency room: if your doctor is unavailable and walk-in locations are not an option, it is recommended to contact 15 before going to the emergency room. The 15 Centers, made up of doctors and regulators, will assess your situation and direct you to the most appropriate treatment.
  4. he emergency services serve everyone, but to remain effective, they must concentrate
on patients in a real state of emergency, who require immediate intervention.
In the event of a life-threatening emergency, calling 15 remains the priority.
Circulation of winter viruses: protect yourself!
The main defenses against winter viruses – bronchiolitis, flu, Covid-19, etc. – are the application of
    barrier gestures:

the other reflexes to adopt are the following:
 ventilate the rooms regularly,
 wash your hands frequently,
 sneeze and cough into your elbow,
 use single-use tissues and throw them away,
 avoid contact with elderly or fragile people.
And it’s not too late to get vaccinated against the flu and Covid-19
Vaccination against Covid-19 is primarily aimed at the most vulnerable and exposed people:
people aged over 65; suffering from one or more comorbidities; pregnant women from the 1st
trimester of pregnancy; people living in the surroundings or in regular contact with immu-
depressed or vulnerable, including professionals in the health and medico-social sectors.
It is recommended, for these same priority groups, to combine vaccination against Covid-19 with
that against seasonal flu. The two injections can be given at the same time or at any time.
what interval.
Do not hesitate to contact your healthcare professional.
