In 2018, the municipality chose to implement the Move on Prescription system.
To date, it is the only municipality in the canton to have done so. This is how municipal agents followed specific training in sports and health and then got involved in this approach which involves supporting people suffering from long-term conditions such as diabetes, obesity, cancer, multiple sclerosis, hypertension, etc., through physical activity sessions adapted to each person.
The objective of this system is to improve health, contribute to physical, mental and social well-being and thus provide a better quality of life for these patients.
The system quickly showed great success with a growing demand from people wishing to integrate it. This is how the elected officials decided to enter into an agreement with an outside party to increase the number of sessions available. Neige Revol-Tissot came to strengthen the existing team by securing two more slots. The mayor, Rémy Bachevalier, recalled during the last municipal council his desire to engage his team in actions in favor of health. Move on prescription concerns around forty beneficiaries who benefit from tailor-made support which will allow some to then join a sports club.
