World Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) Day, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, was held on Friday, June 21.

On this occasion, Catherine Le Padellec and Soizic Thomas presented a check for €1,500 to Brigitte Le Liboux, representative of the ALS research association in Morbihan. Catherine and Soizic explained where the donations came from: “This sum was able to be donated, thanks to a donation of €500 given by the Hope la association, represented by Catherine, as well as a donation of €1,000, from the sale of the CD produced by Soizic Thomas in tribute to Alexia You, Catherine’s daughter who died five years ago.

In passing, Soizic clarified: “I thank the people who participated in the development of the musical project, all those who honored the CD, as well as the merchants who put it on sale. The goal of the CD was initially to pay tribute to Alexia and I am very happy about that. I am also happy to be able to contribute my little stone to the building in this fight against ALS.

Eric Guiffès, husband of Laëtitia, who taught for twelve years at the Saint-Jean school, and who died of this illness last November, was also present during this donation.
