The ADF Congress invites “Intense Experiences” at the Palais des Congrès in Paris, next week, from November 26 to 30. Under its title 2024, the ADF offers dental surgeons the opportunity to train on the latest techniques and clinical advances in dentistry, under the scientific direction of Nicolas Lehmann for this new edition of the congress.
In aesthetic and restorative dentistry, Dr Marie Clement, expert in the field within the ADF’s 2024 scientific committee, has designed a program focused on didactics and practice, including the subject of anterior single restoration. A one-day training cycle will provide training on ceramic veneers. A theoretical course, practical work and a live intervention will develop this theme. A practical work session on injected composites will complete the scientific panel.
Transdisciplinary program
On the prosthesis and occlusodontics side, the scientific committee expert Emmanuel D’incau has developed a transdisciplinary program with the themes of removable prosthesis and implant-supported and tooth-supported prosthesis. Congress attendees will benefit from presentations on the technological and scientific advances in these treatments. A practical session supervised by experts will also be offered on the full mock-up technique.
In implantology, a live patient demonstration will focus on immediate implantation extraction in the compromised socket, with the presentation of techniques to regenerate it. Practical work will be organized on the lateral sinus lift and the management of emergence profiles. Among the key speakers, the congress of the French Dental Association will receive Joseph Kan, ” a reference in the theme of immediate implantation extraction “, underlines in an interview Pierre Keller, expert in implantology of the scientific committee of ADF 2024. David Norré, Belgian practitioner specializing in guided surgery, “will face” his colleague Renaud Noharet as part of a scientific session “ battle “.
The human factor will be the common thread of the ADF 2024 training program on the organization and management of the firm, under the leadership of Arnaud Rindel. A conference on legislation and communication will highlight that in terms of instrumental fracture, it is above all the human and non-technical aspect which most often leads to a procedure with patients. Sessions on the recruitment interview and on improving interpersonal skills in the office will also be offered. The issue of professional burnout will be addressed with the support of a survey conducted by the ADF among congress participants, the results of which will be revealed during the session on this subject.
Research work
Finally, ADF 2024 will be an opportunity to shine the spotlight on dental research with a program concocted with the support of Sylvain Catros. The overview will notably highlight the interest of work on salivary biomarkers in the detection of general diseases such as diabetes. Also on the agenda, the session of the French Institute for Odontological Research (IFRO) and the Forum of Young Researchers which will unveil the latest research work. E-posters will also present research work and clinical cases to delegates.
