The Innovation Competition, a State system within the framework of France 2030, aims to stimulate the creation of companies with high technological value and resulting from cutting-edge French research. Driven by the ambition to promote economic growth while responding to societal challenges, this competition brings together projects in various fields such as energy, digital technology, health, biotechnologies, agrotechnologies, materials and industrial processes. .
The objective is to provide State support for innovative projects at different stages of maturation, whether they are carried out by budding entrepreneurs, start-ups, or SMEs. In recognition of their excellence, entrepreneurial researchers receive funding, a label, as well as communication adapted to their needs. The competition thus supports innovative companies in all stages of their development through its three components: i-PhD, i-Lab and i-Nov.
- i-PhD: promotes the entrepreneurial approaches of young researchers, between the second year of the thesis and the third year after the defense, who can thus test the application potential of their projects.
- i-Lab : detects and brings to light business creation projects based on innovative technologies and wants to promote the transfer of research results, particularly public research, to the socio-economic world.
- i-Nov: selects innovation projects with particularly strong potential for the French economy and makes it possible to co-finance research, development and innovation projects.
