E-commerce sites continue to attract new visitors, a study shows.

(Boursier.com) — Amazon remained the most visited website in in the third quarter, according to the latest ranking from Fevad (Federation of e-commerce and distance selling). The American giant records more than 38 million unique visitors per month. The top three is unchanged, with Leboncoin in second position (more than 29 million views) followed by Booking.com (19.7 million).

On average, 50.6 million Internet users (or 79% of French people) consulted, each month, at least one of the sites and/or applications in the Top 20. “That’s more than a million additional than in 3rd quarter 2023 and 500,000 more than in the 2nd quarter 2024. E-commerce sites therefore continue to attract new visitors,” observes Fevad in a press release. Amazon, Leboncoin and Booking each gain an additional million unique visitors per month.

It is Ikea which recorded the greatest progress this quarter, gaining 4 places. Temu gains three places and returns to the Top 5. Vinted, Lidl, Carrefour, CDiscount and Shein complete the list of ten most visited sites.
