The Departmental Analysis Laboratory (LDA 13) has just acquired a Hologic Thin Prep microscope, high-tech equipment associated with artificial intelligence, to improve cervical cancer screening.

On this occasion, Frédéric Collart, Departmental Advisor delegated to the Departmental Analysis Laboratory and health crisis management, attended the presentation of this new equipment and the reading of a series of screening slides to LDA staff 13.

These departmental agents regularly carry out these checks for the Department’s Maternal and Child Protection Directorate, after samples taken by the doctors and midwives in charge of consultations in the Departmental Solidarity Houses.

The slides are now read by this new microscope, which currently represents the standard of excellence and which offers a technological advance with automated, more precise and faster analysis.
