For the third year, the Territorial Professional Health Community invites women to take care of themselves through screenings, discussions, etc.

“When we’re at the doctor’s office, we don’t always dare or can’t address all the questions. This day is there to take the time to talk about everything, without appointment, without taboo. » The Cegidd infectious disease doctor

Francesca Bisio invites all women to participate on Thursday in the free day reserved for women’s health, as part of Sexual Health Week.

All audiences mixed together

That day, at the convention center for the third consecutive year, the Berry Vierzon Sologne Territorial Professional Health Community (CPTS) brought together several health professionals to discuss different issues: sexually transmitted infections (STIs), diabetes, heart failure, cancer, mental health, genital mutilation… “All audiences will be involved, it will be easier to come and ask questions for some, outside the medical framework, or even to decide to go at the last moment,” points out the doctor.

This year, more speakers (list at the end of the article) are holding a stand, whether for screening (STIs, smears), prevention, or simply the exchange of information. “You might think that everyone should be aware of everything today. However, STIs are not decreasing, nor should we neglect HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus, Editor’s note). We must continue to do prevention,” considers Xavier Pascal, local coordinator at the CPTS.

100 free cinema tickets for visitors

The idea is also to hunt down prejudices. “No, these exchanges are not only intended for young people. For example, it will be possible to collect vouchers for free breast cancer screening and make an appointment on site. At every age, a problem. We invite people to be curious, to go there in a relaxed way,” adds Francesca Bisio. The first hundred visitors in the afternoon will be allocated free tickets for the film debate organized the same evening at the Ciné Lumière with the Cinéencontres association, around the filmHow to have sex
