Auléat-Acep, a health and solidarity association in the Center Val-de-Loire region, specializing in the treatment of addictions, organized a prevention and screening day at the hospital center on Wednesday.
More than 80 people were received, both for screenings and at the information stands.
For people aged 50 to 74
The action followed a call for projects from the Loiret Primary Health Insurance Fund. It was held for the first time at the hospital in collaboration with the regional cancer screening coordination center.
The screening day concerned breast, uterine and colorectal cancers, for a targeted audience between 50 and 74 years old, who are not up to date with the recommended examinations. It was possible to make appointments to subsequently carry out a mammogram or smear, and to collect the colorectal cancer screening kit to carry out at home.
Prevention stands were set up in the hall of the hospital center. It was possible for visitors to learn about first aid procedures, discover all the actions of the local health contract, and obtain information from health insurance about their personal issues.
