What a great evening organized by Génération 22, an association committed to better knowledge and management of 22q11 Deletion, a rare genetic disease. Marjorie Caule-Brugier, mother of little Zélie who has this condition, enthusiastically presented this association which acts on three axes: “accompaniment and support for families, training and assistance with research and communication”.

After tasting the traditional aligot sausages, some 850 people shared this event of kindness in the company of 70 musicians who came graciously to lend their support to this noble cause. And there was something for everyone! Bandas atmosphere with the Harmony of Marcillac and Diane Rouergate, then the long-awaited return on stage of the group Les Pagaños and its original compositions, and to finish a nice dose of good humor and fraternity with the duo La Déryves.

A particularly successful charity evening with more than 12,000 euros donated to Generation 22, a sum to which must be added the donations directly collected on the association’s website.

“This money will allow us to continue our awareness-raising activities, organize our next congress, finance our discussion groups and continue our work in the rare disease sector” said Marjorie Caule, thanking the sixty volunteers who came to give their time, the musical groups and all the people who responded to her call. “The 22Q11 microdeletion is one little thing less that gives us wings” she concluded with enthusiasm at the end of this exceptional evening.
