Like every year, the Lions and Rotary clubs of Lourdes, Argelès-Gazost and Bagnères-de-Bigorre join forces to organize an exceptional Maxi Loto for the benefit of cancer research, simultaneously in several municipalities. Here are 4 questions to find out everything about the event.
What is Maxi Loto?
It is a lottery which takes place simultaneously in several communes of the Hautes-Pyrénées. The aim of this event is to raise funds for the departmental committee of the League against Cancer as well as the Lourdes Cancer Espérance association, in order to support the most deprived patients, but also their families. Last year, the Maxi Loto allowed the Lions and Rotary clubs of Lourdes, Argelès-Gazost and Bagnères to donate €20,000 to these two local associations. In 39 years, since the first edition, a total of more than €380,000 has been collected for the benefit of cancer research.
Where and when to participate?
The Maxi Loto takes place on Friday November 15, 2024 at 8:30 p.m. As always, it takes place simultaneously in different rooms in several municipalities, namely: Lourdes (Robert Hossein space, McDonald’s, Anclades foyer), Argelès-Gazost ( stadium marquee), Luz-Saint-Sauveur, Cauterets, Omex, Pouzac (omnisports hall) and Adé. All these places are connected by telephone, the drawing taking place at the Robert Hossein space in Lourdes. Note this year a small experiment: participants who wish will also be able to follow the draw by videoconference on their phone…
What can we gain?
The Maxi Loto prizes are intended to be very prestigious thanks to the generosity of the participants, very numerous each year, as well as that of the companies which offer prizes. This year again, a car (Dacia Sandero) is up for grabs, as well as a scooter, tablets, bicycles, an electric scooter, household appliances, hams, and much more… The total value of the The prizes up for grabs are around €35,000!
What is the price of boxes?
Due to inflation and the increase in the cost of purchasing certain lots, the price of the card is increasing slightly this year: €5 for 1 card, €12 for 3 and €20 to be able to play all the games, including this one. of the car to be won. Also note that drinks, sandwiches and pancakes will be available in the different gaming locations. The organizers would like to point out that the presence and generosity of the participants have made Maxi Loto a success for 39 years now. Beyond cancer research, the money raised directly helps people and families who live in precariousness due to the disease.
